I have the majority of my users folder redirected to another drive and it works fine otherwise. Also, as I've stated before the folder is already redirected, yet the game created the folder in C:\Users anyway. However, I've never heard the term symbolic link, so if you could please explain that to me that would be great. I add the new location, make that the DEFAULT and ONLY location for documents and hit ok. In that menu you add the new location you want to have the documents. You know, going to you Librarys, right clicking on My Documents (originally on the C drive), click on properties.
One of the first things you learn about programming is KISS (keep it simple stupid). My motto is you don't fool with mother nature and you don't fool with Microsoft. This keeps the folders intact and makes the system think the folder is still in the default location. I have used symbolic link to relocate system folders (sub folders). I don't recommend completely moving that folder as some programmers assume it's where it supposed to be and many programs use that folder. You don't say how you moved the my documents folder.
